Who We Are
Arisaig Partners is an independent, founder and employee-owned, investment management boutique established in 1996 in Singapore. We are headquartered in Singapore and also have research offices in India and the UK.
We manage portfolios of high quality, high growth listed businesses, which by creating value for multiple stakeholders, will earn the right to capture the full extent of emerging market growth over the coming decades.
The firm is managed by the second generation of partners who each hold an equal stake in the company and have been with the firm for over a decade. Our research team is spread across three offices, providing us with the reach and specialised focus required to truly understand and engage with a diverse range of emerging market opportunities.
We aim to hold ourselves to the same purposeful growth ideals we expect from our holdings, and align our own business to the ultra-long-term time horizon of our investments. We were the first Asian-based Signatory of the PRI, have been carbon neutral for over a decade and founding signatories to the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative in 2020. As of 2021 we are a certified B Corporation.

Over 25 years of experience investing in emerging Asia has taught us that the best way to capture the superior long-term growth of these economies is to invest in dominant consumer businesses that sell essential products or services.

Our portfolios are comprised of family-owned businesses that think intergenerationally. We value all our holdings on a 20-year view. We are a long-only manager and construct high conviction, concentrated portfolios that will compound earnings over the long-term. We are patient and see low portfolio turnover as a virtue.
Local Insights
Our investment decisions are based on research conducted by our analyst team “on the ground” and the local insights that we gather from frequent household visits, as well as our meetings with management teams, distributors, and industry contacts.

We consider constructive engagement as a key part of our fiduciary duty and proactively share our views with management, with whom we meet regularly. We share best practice with management teams through our primary research reports and “Henry Root” engagement letters.
Sustainability
We conduct sustainability and governance assessments on all companies as part of our extensive due diligence process, in the belief that failing to do so would obscure a crucial part of the long-term investment picture. Given the essential nature of the products and services that our holdings provide we measure the impact that our holdings have on the ground.
